Join now the largest incubator for tech startups in the EU, a project supported by the European Commission and the European Committee of the Regions


Bucharest, February 7, 2022: European Startups Universe is an incubation program that is happening all at once in 11 EU countries: Romania, Greece, Spain, Croatia, Cyprus, France, Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands and Slovenia, lasting 6 weeks and starting in March 2022.

Romanian early-stage technology startups, embedded locally or in the diaspora can register until February 28, here: https://romania.thestartupuniverse.org/.

The initiative is officially supported by Mariya Gabriel, Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth of the European Commission and by the European Committee of the Regions.

In Romania, the initiative is brought by ROTSA – Romanian Tech Startups Association, a non-profit organization that aims to promote, support and represent the interests of technology startups in Romania, regardless of vertical.

The European Startups Universe incubator was brought in Romania by ROTSA


The program is addressing all tech startups in the EU and aims to connect hundreds of early-stage startups with experts, founders of unicorn startups, investors, VCs, etc.

The activities of the program will take place online in March and April, and during that time each team or founder of an early-stage tech startup in the EU will have access to funding opportunities, the possibility of scaling in other EU countries, and opportunities to find new customers.

Within the incubator there will be several types of activities such as: office hours, 1:1 meetings with mentors, workshops, educational content, etc. and each of the 6 weeks will have  a specific topic:

WEEK 1 – How to build your team?

WEEK 2 – How to communicate with customers to find out their needs?

WEEK 3 – How to build an MVP?

WEEK 4 – How to sell (investment perspective)?

WEEK 5 – How to do marketing & sales for a product?

WEEK 6 – How to make your pitch deck?

The incubation program, organized at the national level by the countries involved in the program, will be followed by sessions with Angel Investors at the European level, which will be handled by European Startup Universe HQ, the initiator of the project.

Early-stage technology startups from Southeastern Europe can expand into ten countries and secure between 50,000 and 300,000 euros in the fifth edition of the go-to-market accelerator, Startup Reaktor.

ROTSA, in partnership with Techcelerator and Rōnin, launches Startup Reaktor, an incubation platform for technology start-ups in Central and Eastern Europe. The goal of the program is to identify and develop 200 start-ups through entrepreneurship education programs in the next three years and provide them access to investors, accelerators, universities and media institutions in the region.

Techcelerator brings to Romania the Venture Program, a pre-accelerator offered by EIT Digital | up to 25,000 EUR per winning team

Techcelerator brings to Romania and Bulgaria the Venture Program, the pre-acceleration program launched by EIT Digital, developed to support early-stage entrepreneurial teams on their journey to market. The program is open to teams from the Baltics, Eastern Europe and Southern Europe (full list of 19 countries here).  Entrepreneurial, non-incorporated teams with digital deep tech business plans are encouraged to apply by April 8th.
